Implement session expiry

Currently difference sessions do not expire, but in the interests of collecting garbage, we should have some kind of reaping process. The onus should be on the REST client to poll at a sufficiently frequent interval (say every 10 seconds). If nothing is polled within this time period, then the session should get invalidated. Any subsequent poll for that session should result in an error.
