Rename syncing to scanning

We have want to rename the actions in Diffa along the lines of health checking and therapy. What we currently call synchronization should be renamed to become scanning, since the word synchronization implies that data is being transferred to rectify two imbalanced participants.
Of note, these tasks should be undertaken:
- Rename every occurrence of sync to scan
- Sessions and scanning are currently implemented in the differencing package - this is confusing
