BUG: LIVE click handler doesn't stop polling if clicked early enough

Even though the LIVE button is disappearing, this problem needs solving as it will transfer to the scroll handle.

(from [33967444f4e3ef475238e81132264bd35e3072fd]) Made sure live button doesn't become active until after session has started. I've swapped the default from active to disabled.
