Difflist paging is bogus

The paging totals on the difflist seem to be a bit bogus, though this is hard to reproduce. What seems to happen is that when you have a large number of diffs, the JS calculates this on the first poll and doesn't seem to reduce this number. Potentially this tally should be calculated on the server side and merely be bound on the client. This might also require #294 and #288 landing first.
