Eliminate duplication between Scala and Java components

The new Java participant-support library redefines a number of types that are also in the kernel. The kernel variants should be either removed or turned into extensions of the Java variants.

QueryConstraint is now gone, and CategoryFunction is just an extension of ScanAggregation.
