Prototype ergonomic handling of multiple swimlanes

#232 describes a quick fix for being able to visualize lots of pairings, but we should probably spend some time prototyping some better visual metaphors for this problem. So initial ideas include:
- Hiding and folding swimlanes
- 3D view
- Expanding and collapsing based on groups
- Keeping things small by default and using a fisheye on mouse over
- .....
We might also want to consider what implications #269 has on this ticket.
